About Dr. Devesh Vashishtha

I’m a physician, husband, father of two, community leader, and proud 12-year San Diegan. I am raising my family here in America’s Finest City. 

As a family medicine doctor in our community, I solve complex problems and listen deeply. I serve on the Rancho Peñasquitos Town Council, the San Diego County Behavioral Health Advisory Board, coach youth soccer, and speak at libraries about healthy living for seniors.

I am also an Indian classical vocal musician. I sing at local temples and teach music to children, and I’m passionate about supporting all our diverse communities and cultures.

My interests are in local politics, bringing our community together, single payer healthcare, and tackling climate change.
